That type of avoidance has now led me to have a receding gumline, bleeding gums, and mouth pain on a regular basis. I want to do sedation dentistry, but the cost is too high and I would not be a candidate for the financing due to credit problems. I have been unemployed for five months, I am a single mother, and I know I need to see a dentist, but I am beyond scared to do so. I don't want to lose my teeth, but for some silly reason the fear I have for the dentist stops me from doing what I know is right. It really is embarassing to have this kind of fear, I have always tried to practice proper dental hygiene, but for some reason this has happened. What would you recommend to someone such as myself who is a prime candidate for sedation dentistry and needs it terribly, but does not have the funds needed to do all the work that will now need to be done because of dental neglect?
